![]() No history of sports or exercise legitimately ever. I think the issue was that I spent so much time and energy dropping weight I made negative progress in strength overall for like half a year. And that I'm bulking, my lifts are going up obviously. My deadlift 1RM was 315 when I started GZCLP and I've pulled 365 for a double recently. It has been fucking incredible and if I started with this program sooner I'd be a lot further along. I realized the program I was using was not good for me at all and I've been doing GZCLP for a long time. I got my bench up to 135 for 7 reps within a few months but then it dropped to 5, then 4 reps during my extended 30 lbs cut. I also cut from 210 to 180 and my strength obviously dropped over a 5 month cut, then I have been bulking (with a 6 week 3 lbs cut break) since then and I'm back at 200 now. My nervous system was aching and I would throw up mid workout at least two days a week. I ended up becoming legitimately overtrained because my wife and I were spending 90 minutes in the gym and my body couldn't handle the fatigue. Flat bench 2x weekly and would do incline and OHP as well. I enjoyed training power in low rep ranges for PPL and the hypertophy for PPL so I would do Push power, pull hypertophy, leg power, push hypertrophy, pull power, leg hypertrophy. ![]() I did a PPL PHAT split 5-6 days a week from months 2-16.
